Homework: | Homeworks will be assigned once a week and they must be
turned in on time. Homework turned in late will not be graded. But some lowest homework scores will be dropped at the end of semester. |
Tests: | There will be two in-class midterms and one final exam. |
Grading: | Grades will be based on the exams and homework, your
best 9
homeworks count for 25%; in-class midterms count for 40% (20% each); the final exam counts for 35%. |
Curves: | Curves will be determined by the median of the final
percentage at the end of the semester. However typical letter intervals
are A: 90% and higher, B: 80%-89%, C: 70%-79%, D: 60%-69%, and F: 59% and under. |
